My Writing Journey - Crossing a Triond Milestone

Today I feel I should have taken Triond seriously from the beginning. While there was lot of potential in those days, there was nothing I knew about making money off this site.

It has been a year since I took this publishing site (Triond) seriously and learned a lot of things about online writing that I have just yesterday crossed a significant milestone (Happiness in Crossing a Triond Milestone) in my writing. It gave me so much of happiness to cross such a milestone.

I used to have very low targets to earn from my online writing. And Bukisa helped me achieve that pretty fast. But then I realized that it is realistically possible to make living and a decent one from these sites. So I had raised my targets to earn $15 per day.

I started writing seriously since six months with a serious plan in mind. I kept and log and noted accomplishments regularly. Initially it took considerable effort and also hardship to make any progress. But once I told to myself that I need to find solution to every obstacle on my own, I started making good progress.

My earnings at Triond started rising from $0.07 per day to $0.2 to $0.8. After few updates, that rose to $1.2. I had written more and they ramped up to $1.8 but not moving any further. I had noticed that Triond had been continuously reducing the earnings even when there is no noticeable recessionary effects.

I compensated this and worked hard and brought down my expectations. That is when the results broke through the rooftop of my expectations yesterday. Single day earnings at Triond jumped to $5.27! That was a very great feeling really.

I just crossed a significant milestone in my writing journey at Triond and I look forward to more of such milestones ahead. If you want to start your writing journey at Triond then join.

Eating at Happy Days

Guest post written by Candice Evans.

I am just not a fan of nostalgia. This type of style has never tickled my fancy. I am the type of person that likes to live in the here and now. That being said, I was not very thrilled about the new restaurant in town that opened. the name was enough for me. Happy Days was what they called it. I mean how much more nostalgically cheesy could you get. My mother had been on me to go there with her for several months. One night I reluctantly agreed just for the simple fact that it may get her to leave me alone about it. She even offered to drive and pay for the meal in order to get me to go. When she pulled up , I set my ADT alarm systems, and slowly made my way to the car. She could tell that I was just doing this for her and i could see that it disappointed her. I decided then that I would make the best of the night. When we arrived i was surprised to see all of the people inside laughing and dancing. There was live music flowing from the open doors at the front of the building. I have to admit that the place looked very inviting, even to me.

The food was great as well. To my surprise the feel of olden times was quite complementing to the whole experience. Furthermore, my mother was ecstatic that I was actually having a good time. I guess nostalgia just fits some occassions.

Finding The Perfect Gift

This is a guest post by Kallie Wilson.

My dad’s birthday was coming up, and I didn’t know what to get him. What do you buy someone who has everything? It sure makes it tough. But I was not going to give up because I wanted to find the perfect gift. I have given him cash most of the time, but that just isn’t very personal. This year his gift was going to be personal and perfect.

I got to thinking about the things he likes. It was right there in front of me the whole time. My dad has been a Braves fan since they were in Milwaukee. I really wanted to get him a Braves jersey. I checked all the sports stores in town and came up empty handed. I do live 1000 miles away from Atlanta after all.

But this was for my dad, so I had to keep looking. I drove over to the next city because I knew of a mall that had two really good sports stores. The first one actually had Braves jersey’s but not in my dads size or of his favorite player. The second one had the right player and size, but it was the ugly throw-back jersey’s. I was not buying my dad a robin egg blue jersey. I can’t imagine having to wear those ugly jersey’s with matching pants.

It was time to head to the computer. In about 10 seconds I found the perfect gift. The jersey I found was of my dads favorite player and it was in his size. I had wasted a whole day running around town, but using my hughesnet satellite internet was so fast and easy, I got the whole transaction done in less than 10 minutes. The only problem I had was deciding whether to get a home or road jersey.

Bus Trip to the Casino!

This is a guest post by my buddy Shelly Riggles

My husband and I love going on bus trips. Last summer we went on a bus trip to Wheeling Island, West Virginia. We got up and set our adt security and left for a day of gambling.

On the way to catch our bus we stopped at the local diner for waffles and coffee. We love having breakfast at the diner and go there as often as possible.

We met our friends at the fire hall and waited for our bus. Just standing around and catching up with our friends was fun. When the bus finally came, we got on and headed to Wheeling Island, West Virginia. The bus ride to the casino was really fun. The host, of the trip, played games with us the whole way to the casino. I won a green scarf and my husband won a baseball cap.

By the time we arrived at the casino, we were ready to win some money. The first thing I noticed, when I got off the bus, was how big the casino was. I didn't realize that the casino was actually part of a hotel. We went inside and got our frequent player passes. Then we hit the quarter slots. We would win a couple dollars and then lose a couple dollars.

After playing the quarter slots for awhile we decided to play the nickel machines. We had the same luck on the nickel machines that we had on the quarter machines.

After lunch we decided to try are luck on the dollar slots. We had the same luck on the dollars slots that we had had on the quarter and nickel slots. Even though we didn't win any money, we still had a great trip. We can't wait to go on another bus trip to the casino.

Jamaica Trip

Post written by Sam Markson

Who wouldn’t want to go to Jamaica in the middle of winter? When my wife brought up the idea of going to Jamaica, how could I resist? It was so cold outside, I needed some warmth and relaxation. So we booked the trip that night. I had one week until we left for paradise. All I had left to do was pack and set my adt securitysystem.

I couldn’t sleep the night before our trip, so I got out of bed and got online. I looked at our all inclusive hotel with all of it’s swimming pools, restaurants, gift shops and the beautiful beach. I was ready to go now. Since we were already packed, I decided to load the car while my wife slept. When I got tired enough, I finally fell asleep in my favorite recliner.

I woke up to see my wife standing in front of me with her arms crossed. I could tell she wasn’t mad. She was actually happy the car was packed and ready to go. She made me a wonderful breakfast while I took a shower. Finally, it was time to go on our trip.

Unfortunately, when we got to the airport we found out there was a weather delay on our flight. We sat there for 5 hours, but finally they let us board the plane.

When our plane started to land in Jamaica, I couldn’t believe the beauty of the coastline. The bus ride to Ocho Rios was bumpy, but they gave us free Jamaican beer, so everyone was in a good mood. The resort was more than what I expected. The front lobby had no doors and was gorgeous. The food and drinks were great and the music was amazing. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
